The Insolentis Exosceletus arrives as a set of three physical resin miniatures, each standing 48mm from feet to eyes, cast in clean grey resin with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight from the box. Supplied unpainted.

This is a heavy frontline enforcement squad built for the most brutal theatres of a grimdark holy war. Each warrior is encased in towering powered armour, layered in ceremonial plate trimmed with gold and adorned with fleur-de-lis iconography, skull motifs, and deep red gemstones that mark their devotion to a higher authority. Flowing tabards and battle-worn capes drape from their pauldrons, and each figure carries a distinct weapon loadout drawn from a generous 29-part kit, including heavy pistols, bladed short swords, a spiked mace, and shoulder-mounted ordnance arrays. The central hero model stands atop a defeated enemy base, lending the squad a commanding, triumphant presence on the tabletop. Each set contains three fully assembled-ready resin bodies and 29 separate parts, giving you meaningful loadout flexibility and posing options across the squad. The models are supplied without paint or glue.

The colour scheme shown across these miniatures leans into a cold, authoritative palette of steel-grey armour, warm gold trim, and rich terracotta leather. The guide below follows that scheme closely, though it works equally well with your own chosen faction colours.

1. Prime

• Apply a grey or white zenithal prime using a spray can or airbrush to establish light direction across the armour panels before any colour is added.

2. Armour Base

• Basecoat all armour plates with a cool blue-grey such as Vallejo's Sombre Grey or Citadel's The Fang, then layer up with a lighter tone like Wolf Grey to pick out raised panel edges.
• Apply a targeted wash of Agrax Earthshade or Nuln Oil into the recesses, keeping it away from the flat panel centres for a cleaner finish.

3. Trim and Details

• Basecoat all trim, iconography, and border details with Retributor Armour, then shade with Reikland Fleshshade for depth.
• Highlight trim edges with Liberator Gold or Auric Armour Gold, working in small, controlled strokes along raised borders and rivets.

4. Weapons

• Paint the pistol frames and blade flats with Leadbelcher, shade with Nuln Oil, and edge highlight with Stormhost Silver on the sharpest points.
• Pick out grip wraps and any leather-wrapped handles in a warm brown such as Mournfang Brown, highlighted up with Skrag Brown.

5. Weathering

• Use a sponge or stippling brush to add small chips and battle damage in Skavenblight Dinge along armour edges, followed by a thin Runefang Steel highlight on any exposed chip to suggest bare metal beneath.
• Streak the lower armour panels lightly with diluted Agrax Earthshade to suggest accumulated grime and field wear.

6. Bases

• For the hero model, drybrush the rubble base in Dawnstone and Administratum Grey, paint the defeated creature in pale purples and greens to contrast the blue armour, and finish with a gloss varnish on any fleshy areas for texture contrast.
