The Hades Warbrutes are a squad of three heavily armoured assault brutes, each standing approximately 40mm tall and bristling with spikes, chains, skull iconography, and multi-barrelled heavy weapons mounted across four powerful arms. These physical resin miniatures arrive with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box.
Each brute in this squad is built from a fully modular kit, offering three distinct torso variants, three interchangeable collar and chest assemblies, multiple upper and lower arm configurations, and a choice of heads ranging from fanged skull masks to armoured visors. This level of customisation means no two squads need ever look identical, giving your warband a genuinely unique battlefield presence. The Hades Warbrutes are designed with an aggressive grimdark sci-fi aesthetic, combining brutal plate armour with chains, bone motifs, and oversized industrial weaponry that signals pure close and mid-range devastation.
Sculpted with exceptional detail across every surface, from the riveted plating and layered pauldrons to the claw-tipped feet and segmented gauntlets, these models reward careful painting and will serve equally well as centrepiece units or as the core of a heavy assault force. This squad comes from Atlan Forge's range, where every piece is designed to deliver maximum impact on the tabletop. The kit is supplied as unpainted grey resin components and requires assembly with plastic-compatible super glue.
Squad contents: 3 multi-part resin miniatures with modular head, torso, arm, and weapon options. Bases included. Paint and glue not included.
Painting Guide: Hades Warbrutes - Heavy Assault Brute Squad (3 Models)The Hades Warbrutes suit a dark, battle-worn palette that emphasises corroded metal, scorched bone, and deep shadow. The guide below covers a recommended scheme from primer to finished base.
1. Prime
- Apply a black spray primer across all assembled or sub-assembled parts for maximum shadow retention on deeply recessed detail.
- Follow with a zenithal dusting of grey from above to establish natural highlights before you paint a single layer.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat all plate armour with a dark iron grey such as Leadbelcher or equivalent.
- Apply a heavy wash of black-brown ink into all recesses to define panel edges and reinforce depth across the spiked surfaces.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out skull emblems, chains, and bone details with a mid-bone colour, then shade with sepia ink for warmth.
- Edge highlight the armour plates with a bright silver to suggest battle-worn metal catching harsh light.
4. Weapons
- Paint the multi-barrelled weapon housings in a dark gunmetal, drybrushed lightly with pure silver on raised edges and barrel tips.
- Add OSL glow effects in sickly green or hot orange around any energy cells or vents to suggest active power.
5. Weathering
- Apply stippled rust using a torn blister foam and orange-brown paint around joints, lower legs, and areas of high wear.
- Use a dark oil wash over all metallic areas and wipe back gently with a clean brush to leave grime settled in recesses.
6. Bases
- Texture the 40mm oval bases with a dark ashen paste or fine grit, then drybrush with pale grey and seal with a matt varnish for a blasted wasteland feel.
