Hades Cultists are a squad of nine brutish, heavily scarred warriors clad in a brutal mix of spiked plate armour, ragged cloth, and scavenged tech. Each figure in this set is cast as a physical resin miniature, supports already removed, and arrives ready to assemble and paint. Standing at 32mm scale, these imposing fighters tower with menace, armed with oversized hammers, chainsaws, cleaver blades, chains, and a variety of ranged weapons that speak to a warband scraping survival from a dying galaxy.

The nine-model squad offers tremendous variety. Five larger, more heavily armoured champions occupy the front rank, while four slightly more compact warriors round out the unit with equally savage posing and detailing. Skull iconography, horned helms, and spiked knee guards reinforce the sense of a death cult drawn from the underworld of a grimdark future. The Hades Cultists are sculpted by Atlan Forge with the kind of surface detail that rewards careful painters: riveted plating, exposed musculature, dangling trophy skulls, and mechanical chest pieces all provide texture and contrast across every model.

These miniatures are fully compatible as proxy units in popular 32mm scale sci-fi wargames. Whether you are building a renegade warband, a gang of underhive marauders, or a chaos-touched raiding force, this squad delivers instant visual impact on the battlefield. Each model is cast in high-resolution resin, giving crisp edges and deep shadows that hold washes beautifully.

Hades Cultists arrive unassembled and unpainted. Super glue is recommended for any multi-part joins. Light cleanup with a fine file may be required on mould lines before painting.

Painting Guide: Hades Cultists - Atlan Forge, Sci Fi Tabletop Wargaming proxy miniatures, 32mm Scale

This guide will help you bring these grimdark warriors to life with a palette built around dark iron, corrupted flesh, and hellish accent colours that suit the death cult theme perfectly.

1. Prime

  • Prime with a black spray for deep shadows and a grimdark base tone across all armour and skin areas.
  • Alternatively, zenithal prime with black below and grey above to pre-shade the armour panels.

2. Armour Base

  • Apply a dark iron or gunmetal basecoat over all armoured plates using a drybrush or basecoat brush.
  • Block in any cloth or ragged tabard sections with a deep burgundy or ash grey to contrast the metal.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out skull icons, horns, and trophy decorations in bleached bone, then shade with a brown wash.
  • Paint any mechanical chest cables or tubing in a copper or bronze tone to add warmth.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat hammer heads and cleaver blades in a cool silver, then apply a dark blue-black wash to deepen recesses.
  • Paint ranged weapon casings in a dark olive or military green to separate them visually from the silver armour.

5. Weathering

  • Stipple a rust orange or dried-blood red across lower armour edges and weapon surfaces for a worn, brutal look.
  • Apply a thin black oil wash to all recesses and let it pool in joints and skulls for maximum depth.

6. Bases

  • Texture with fine grit or lava paste and paint in deep red and black to evoke an infernal wasteland setting.
  • Finish bases with a semi-gloss varnish on lava cracks and a matte varnish over the figures to preserve detail.
