The Ghostgod of the Night Star is a towering reaper-class entity, a single imposing figure standing approximately 160mm from base to top, sculpted in extraordinary detail for grimdark sci-fi wargaming. This physical resin miniature arrives with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint. Every surface tells a story of spectral power, from the tattered, hole-riddled cloak to the bone-hafted scythe crackling with necrotic green energy.
This model is designed for adult hobbyists who want a centrepiece miniature that commands attention on the battlefield or display shelf. The sculpt features a masked, skeletal figure wreathed in swirling soul-fire, one arm raised to unleash a torrent of ethereal flame while the other drags a massive curved scythe across broken rubble. At its feet lie defeated warriors and scattered skulls, completing the scene of absolute dominion over life and death. The base is richly detailed with cracked stone, fallen armoured bodies, and glowing arcane elements.
The Ghostgod of the Night Star is a standalone character piece, supplied as a single or low-part resin kit. It is ideal as a warlord, sorcerer, or named character in any sci-fi or fantasy wargame. The dramatic scale and dynamic pose make it equally suited to competitive play or hobby display collections.
Cast in high-quality grey resin, this miniature captures fine surface textures including the flowing cloak, exposed ribcage, and spectral energy effects with sharp clarity. Assembly may require minor adjustments and super glue for any separate pieces included.
Painting Guide: Ghostgod of the Night Star - Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniaturesThis guide is written to help you bring the Ghostgod of the Night Star to life with a spectral, undead aesthetic using greens, blacks, and cold skin tones.
1. Prime
- Apply a black spray primer across the entire model for maximum shadow depth.
- Follow with a zenithal spray of grey from above to pre-shade the raised surfaces.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the robes and cloak in a deep cold grey, such as Mechanicus Standard Grey or similar.
- Layer up to a pale blue-grey on raised folds to suggest the ethereal, ghostly fabric.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint the skeletal body and exposed bones in a pale ivory, washed with a thinned sepia or brown.
- Add fine edge highlights of near-white on the sharpest bone surfaces to suggest age and dryness.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the scythe haft in bone white, then wash with a green ink to tie it to the energy effects.
- Paint the blade and energy trails in Moot Green or equivalent, blending up to a bright yellow-green at the brightest points.
5. Weathering
- Apply a thin black wash into all recesses of the cloak, ribcage, and base details.
- Drybrush the base rubble with a light stone colour, then add selective OSL (object source lighting) in green around the scythe and soul-fire.
6. Bases
- Paint the fallen armoured warrior in dark steel, washed with brown and red to suggest dried blood and grime.
- Finish the base with a dark grey stone drybrush, green glowing rune accents, and scattered skull details painted in aged bone.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
