This Gang of gritty underhive survivors, the Alcat Rats, arrives as a set of 10 physical resin miniatures, supports already removed and cleaned, ready to assemble and paint. Each model is cast in high-quality grey resin and measures 29mm from feet to eyes, making them compatible with most popular 28-32mm scale skirmish and campaign games. The kit contains 70 individual parts, giving you enormous freedom to customise each fighter with unique poses, loadouts, and character.
The build kit includes 10 distinct body sculpts in dynamic combat stances, 10 characterful heads ranging from open-faced fighters with expressive features to helmeted and masked variants, and 5 detailed backpacks including equipment crates, chemical tanks, and field packs. The weapons sprue is equally generous, offering a wide variety of rifles, shotguns, pistols, blades, and specialist arms so that every member of the Gang can be outfitted to reflect their role on the battlefield.
Sculpted by DakkaDakka, each component is packed with grimdark detail: layered armour plates, worn leather coats, pouches, holsters, and boots tell the story of fighters who live and die in the shadows of a crumbling industrial cityscape. The modular design means no two squads need look alike, giving the full Gang a ragged, individualised look that suits narrative and competitive play alike.
Assembly requires plastic-compatible or super glue. Painting and basing materials are sold separately.
Painting Guide: Gang - The Alcat Rats Infantry Squad Build Kit (for 10 models)The Alcat Rats suit a palette of muted, dirty tones. Earthy browns, faded greens, and rusted metals will give this Gang an authentic underhive look. Work quickly on the basecoats and spend time on washes and chipping to sell the battered, lived-in aesthetic.
1. Prime
- Spray with a dark grey or black primer to anchor all subsequent layers.
- Zenithal highlight with a light grey or off-white from above to define the raised surfaces.
2. Armour Base
- Apply a mid-brown or dark green to the armour plates and jackets.
- Use a deep navy or charcoal for the trousers and softer clothing areas.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out buckles, clasps, and boot plates with a muted silver or aged bronze.
- Paint pouches and straps in a contrasting tan or sand to break up the silhouette.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat rifle stocks in dark wood brown, then highlight the edges with a lighter warm tone.
- Paint metal barrels and receivers with a dark steel, then edge highlight with bright silver.
5. Weathering
- Apply a brown or sepia wash across all surfaces and let it settle in the recesses.
- Drybrush raised edges lightly with a pale grey or silver to suggest wear and chipping.
- Dot small rust streaks below rivets using a stippled orange-brown.
6. Bases
- Texture the base with a dark urban paste or fine sand, then drybrush with concrete grey.
- Add small debris such as gravel, rubble, or tufts of dead grass to reflect an industrial wasteland setting.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
