This Female Chaos Cult Hero Miniature depicts Elza, the Tribe Betrayer, a fearsome warrior who turned against her own kin to serve darker powers. Standing approximately 69mm from base to top of weapon, she is sculpted in dramatic mid-stride action, raising a massive executioner's axe-polearm above a fleeing, terrified cultist beneath her boots. Every detail speaks of brutal authority and grim devotion, from the spiked pauldrons and mechanised chest armour to the billowing war-cloak visible from the rear.
This physical resin miniature arrives already printed and cleaned, with supports removed and surfaces prepared. It comes as 3 separate parts: the main armoured body, a separate head with wild flowing hair, and the cowering victim base figure. Assembly requires hobby glue and basic modelling skills. The kit is sculpted by DakkaDakka and fits naturally into any grimdark sci-fi or dark fantasy warband setting, making this Female Chaos Cult Hero Miniature a compelling centrepiece for display or tabletop play.
The pose captures a moment of absolute power, the armoured betrayer towering over a panicked, lightly clothed figure who scrambles to escape. The axe shaft extends far above the hero's head, adding tremendous visual height and drama to the 69mm total measurement. The rear view reveals a broad flowing cape and an ornate, goggled helmet variant head, offering painters two distinct character interpretations depending on which head option they prefer.
This Female Chaos Cult Hero Miniature is equally suited to single-model display painting, competitive wargame use, or as a faction leader piece for skirmish campaigns. The sculpt rewards experienced painters with richly layered surface detail across armour plates, leather straps, mechanical fittings, and expressive faces on both figures.
Painting Guide: Female Chaos Cult Hero Miniature – Elza, Tribe Betrayer (28mm Resin)Follow these steps to bring Elza and her victim to life on the tabletop with a dark, grimdark palette that suits her treacherous reputation.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer to all parts before assembly to ensure paint adhesion across resin surfaces.
- Light grey primer works well if you plan bright NMM armour highlights.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the power armour in a deep navy blue or corrupted dark bronze using a flat brush, working carefully around straps and trim.
- Apply a second thin coat once dry to achieve smooth, even coverage across the large chest and pauldron plates.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out mechanical fittings, goggle lenses, and rivets in bright brass or tarnished gold, then wash with a brown shade to deepen recesses.
- Paint leather straps in dark brown and highlight edges with a lighter tan to give contrast against the armour plates.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the long polearm shaft in a dark iron grey, then drybrush with silver to pick up the wrapped texture along its length.
- Paint the broad axe blade in a cold steel tone, leaving darker recesses near the spine and adding a faint green or yellow tint along the edge to suggest corrupted energy.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark oil wash or shade across the entire armour surface and let it pool naturally into recesses before wiping back highlights with a damp brush.
- Add chipping and scratches using a fine brush and a mid-grey mix, concentrating on pauldron edges, knee plates, and boot armour.
6. Bases
- Texture the round base with sandy paste or fine grit, then paint in a dusty ochre and drybrush with pale bone to tie the miniature to a desolate wasteland setting.
