Forgotten Champions brings you the Evil Eye, a nightmarish floating horror sculpted by Haito and designed to terrorise the battlefield with its writhing tentacle stalks, gaping maw of jagged teeth, and single baleful orb that dominates its grotesque form. This single-model kit is a centrepiece creature for any dark fantasy or grimdark skirmish collection.
The Evil Eye is a masterclass in organic sculpting. Every surface is alive with texture: scaled ridges ripple across its bloated body, each tentacle is lined with sinew and bone-like protrusions, and the wide-open mouth is packed with layered fangs and a barbed tongue that curls outward in mid-roar. The detail density rewards careful painters and makes for a striking display piece even straight from primer.
As part of the Forgotten Champions monster roster, this model fits seamlessly into campaigns where ancient, unknowable creatures stalk ruined worlds. Its hovering pose, achieved via a display pin mount, gives it an immediate sense of supernatural menace on the tabletop. Squad size is 1, making it ideal as a boss encounter, summoned horror, or wandering threat in narrative play.
Sculpted by Haito with exceptional craft, the Evil Eye stands as one of the most characterful monster releases in the Forgotten Champions range. Whether you are building a full warband or hunting for a singular show-stopping model, this piece delivers on every level.
Painting Guide: Evil Eye - MonsterThe Evil Eye rewards a wet-blend approach to its fleshy tones. Follow these steps to bring out the full horror of this Forgotten Champions creature.
1. Prime
- Prime with a light grey or bone spray to preserve the deep surface texture
- Zenithal highlight from above with white to establish natural light sourcing
2. Armour Base
- Base coat the main body in a warm ochre or pale flesh tone
- Apply a thin wash of sepia over the entire body to settle into recesses
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the bony ridges and spine protrusions with an off-white drybrush
- Deepen recesses between scales with a diluted brown ink for organic depth
4. Weapons
- Paint the fangs and claws in a pale ivory base, shading toward yellow-grey at the root
- Add a gloss varnish to the tongue and inner mouth for a wet, visceral effect
5. Weathering
- Stipple bruised purple and dark green around the eye socket and mouth edges
- Glaze the tentacle tips in a sickly greenish hue to suggest necrotic extremities
6. Bases
- Use cracked earth texture paste finished with a dark grey drybrush and tufts of dead grass to ground this Forgotten Champions horror in a desolate, blighted landscape
