The Einherjar Storm Priest is a towering resin miniature that commands the battlefield with an aura of ancient fury and technological menace. Standing at approximately 40mm to the top of his massive fur-clad shoulders, this single-model hero piece is sculpted with extraordinary detail across every surface, from the skull-adorned collar and layered armour plates to the ornate mechanical staff crackling with unseen power. The figure arrives as a physical resin miniature, supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint straight from the box.
Inspired by the warrior-priests of a storm-ravaged northern void, the Einherjar Storm Priest fuses ancient tribal iconography with brutal sci-fi augmentation. His enormous fur mantle sweeps behind him in dramatic motion, while raven familiars perch at his shoulders and a beast-skull totem adorns his belt. The raised staff hand and clenched fist pose convey absolute dominance over lesser warriors. The detailed rune-inscribed base ties the model firmly to a world steeped in dark myth and interstellar conflict.
This model is produced by Atlan Forge and arrives as a single hero miniature on a detailed scenic base. It is ideal as a warlord, champion, or elite character in any grimdark sci-fi skirmish or narrative campaign. The quality of the resin casting preserves every sharp edge of the original digital sculpt, ensuring crisp detail on every plate, tooth, and feather. The Einherjar Storm Priest is a centrepiece model worthy of a collector's display shelf or a competitive army showcase.
Supplied unpainted. Paints, glue, and tools sold separately.
Painting Guide: Einherjar Storm Priest - Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniaturesThis guide will help you bring the Einherjar Storm Priest to life with a palette that honours his storm-cult origins and brutal sci-fi aesthetic. Work in thin, controlled layers for the best results across the complex textures.
1. Prime
- Apply a smooth grey or black spray primer across the entire model, ensuring full coverage inside the fur mantle and around the staff mechanism.
- A zenithal highlight with white primer from above will help pre-shade the model and speed up later steps.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat all armour plates with a deep cold blue-black such as Incubi Darkness or Vallejo Dark Prussian Blue.
- Drybrush raised edges lightly with Thunderhawk Blue or a similar muted steel-blue to bring out the angular panel lines.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out rivets, cables, and trim with a dark bronze or aged gold tone, then wash with Agrax Earthshade for depth.
- Paint skull motifs in off-white, then shade with Seraphim Sepia for a yellowed bone effect.
4. Weapons
- Paint the staff shaft in dark metal and add a glowing energy core at the head using layers from deep purple up to electric blue-white at the brightest point.
- Edge highlight all metallic weapon parts with a thin line of Runefang Steel or similar bright silver.
5. Weathering
- Apply chipping and battle damage with a torn blister foam sponge dipped in dark brown and silver to the armour surfaces.
- Add streaking grime effects with diluted brown ink run downward from vents and joints to reinforce the war-worn look.
6. Bases
- Paint the rune-inscribed base in dark stone grey, then drybrush with lighter grey and finally off-white to bring out the carved markings.
- Add an OSL glow effect around the runes using thin blue-white glaze to tie the base visually to the glowing staff.
