Drelka is a commanding 75mm resin figurine forged in the grimdark tradition of sci-fi fantasy, arriving as a fully printed and cleaned physical miniature ready to assemble and paint. This single-character release depicts a young, stern-faced warrior adorned in ornate ceremonial armour layered with skulls, devotional chains, and a sweeping pauldron mantle. She wields a massive crozius-style polearm decorated with skull motifs and angular star blades, and behind her rises a towering gothic throne bristling with lit candles and baroque gothic stonework. Every surface has been sculpted with extraordinary density, rewarding painters who enjoy fine detail work across cloth folds, engraved borders, and layered iconography.
Standing at 75mm scale, Drelka makes an imposing display piece or centrepiece model for any dark sci-fi or fantasy collection. The figurine ships with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, so assembly can begin straight away. Faction inspiration draws heavily from monastic warrior orders operating in a grim, decaying galactic empire, surrounded by candlelight and reliquary ritual. The backdrop aesthetic channels biomechanical horror and gothic architecture in equal measure, making this piece a striking addition to any grimdark shelf or diorama project.
The model is cast in high-quality grey resin, capturing the sculptor's fine lines with crisp fidelity across even the smallest skull ornaments and candle flames. Painters of all skill levels will find Drelka rewarding, whether approaching her with bold contrast paints or refined layering techniques. This is a single-figure release, supplied as a physical resin kit.
Painting Guide: Drelka, Figurine 75mm, Sci-Fi FantasyThe following guide is designed to help painters bring Drelka to life using widely available hobby paints. The 75mm scale gives exceptional room to develop blends, object-source lighting from the candles, and subtle freehanding on the ornate borders.
1. Prime
- Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and white from above, or use a neutral grey spray for a flat starting point.
- Ensure all recessed details such as skull eye sockets and candle wax drips are fully coated before proceeding.
2. Armour Base
- Base coat armour panels in a deep ivory or aged bone tone such as Wraithbone or Zandri Dust.
- Shade recesses with a warm sepia wash, then re-layer the raised surfaces with the original tone and a final highlight of pure white on the sharpest edges.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint all skull ornaments and carved borders in a pale bone, washed with brown shade and edge-highlighted in off-white.
- Pick out devotional chains and rivets in a dark bronze or old gold, washed with Agrax Earthshade for an aged, worn look.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the crozius haft in dark steel, then drybrush with silver and add a thin oil wash to deepen the metallic recesses.
- Treat the blade star spikes with a black base, dry-brushed silver, with a thin OSL glow of cold blue or pale green applied near the edges if a powered effect is desired.
5. Weathering
- Apply streaking grime or thinned dark brown oil paint vertically down armour panels to suggest age and atmospheric grime.
- Add chipping with a small sponge and dark grey to the armour edges, keeping damage subtle to preserve the ceremonial character of the model.
6. Bases
- Consider a cracked cathedral flagstone base using texture paste, painted in dark grey and dry-brushed with mid-grey and white to match the gothic environment suggested by the throne backdrop.
