The following guide is written for intermediate painters looking to make the most of the exceptional detail on this model. Thin your paints, work in layers, and take your time with the fine relief work.

1. Prime

• Apply a light grey or white spray primer evenly across all surfaces to preserve fine surface detail.
• For a darker scheme, a black undercoat followed by a zenithal grey highlight works well before base coating.

2. Armour Base

• Base coat the armour panels in your chosen primary colour. Bone white, deep blue, or silver all suit the celestial aesthetic of this Dreadnought.
• Apply thin, even coats and allow each layer to dry fully before progressing.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out the ornate trim, Celtic knotwork, and relief sculptures in a contrasting metallic such as gold or bronze.
