The Doomsday Infantry Squad arrives as a squad of five battle-hardened soldiers, each one sculpted with sharp, characterful detail and ready to hold the line across any war-torn tabletop. These physical resin miniatures come pre-printed, with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for you to assemble and paint straight out of the box. Standing 32mm from feet to eyes, every figure carries the grim weight of endless conflict in its silhouette.
This is a build kit, giving you the freedom to customise each trooper from a generous pool of components. The kit contains 39 parts in total, drawn from 31 unique sculpts. You get five bodies in varied combat poses, five heads ranging from full respirator masks to open-faced screaming infantry, two detailed backpacks with radio antennae, and 27 hands and weapons covering lasguns, heavier support weapons, pistols, a sword, and a carry case. Mix and match across your squad to build five distinct troopers, or carry the parts across multiple squads to keep every unit looking individual.
The aesthetic sits firmly in the grimdark tradition. Greatcoat tails, reinforced boots, layered flak armour, and goggled helmets give the Doomsday Infantry Squad the look of soldiers who have survived long enough to know better, but keep fighting anyway. The sculpt quality rewards careful brushwork, with deep panel lines, textured fabric, and crisp equipment details that take washes and drybrushing cleanly.
Suitable for any 28 to 32mm scale wargame that fields rank-and-file infantry. Each figure assembles on a standard 25mm round base, though bases are not included.
Painting Guide: The Doomsday Infantry Squad (build kit)The palette below leans into a worn, field-grey aesthetic inspired by long campaigns and harsh conditions. Adjust the colours to suit your own regiment colours.
1. Prime
- Prime with a neutral grey spray or brush-on primer across all assembled parts before attaching to bases.
2. Armour Base
- Base coat the flak armour panels in Mechanicus Standard Grey or equivalent mid-grey.
- Base coat the greatcoat and uniform areas in Death World Forest or a desaturated olive green.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out buckles, clasps, and belt fittings in Leadbelcher or a dark silver.
- Paint goggle lenses in Teclis Blue with a small highlight of White Scar to suggest glass.
4. Weapons
- Base the gun bodies in Abaddon Black, then drybrush lightly with Leadbelcher to bring out raised edges.
- Paint wooden furniture or grips in Rhinox Hide with a Baneblade Brown highlight.
5. Weathering
- Apply a thin wash of Agrax Earthshade across armour, boots, and equipment to settle shadows and unify the palette.
- Stipple small chips and scratches onto armour edges using a torn sponge and Mechanicus Standard Grey over the darkened base coat.
6. Bases
- Texture with Stirland Mud or similar, dry brushed with Ushabti Bone, then finish with a few tufts of dead grass or rubble scatter to reinforce the battlefield setting.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
