The Colossus Squad arrives as a set of 10 heavily armoured, brutish sci-fi infantry miniatures scaled at 32mm, each one cast in high-quality resin and delivered ready to assemble and paint. Supports have already been removed and the parts cleaned, so you can go straight to building your warband without any messy prep work. These towering brutes are built for the grimdark battlefield, combining brutal melee weapons, chunky sidearms, and heavy support weapons into one imposing squad.
The kit includes 54 unique parts across 10 distinct poses, giving you a huge range of assembly options. With 30 interchangeable hand and weapon pieces covering axes, hammers, knives, pistols, shotguns, and heavy cannons, no two models need to look the same. Bodies come in multiple torso and leg configurations, and a selection of characterful heads rounds out the customisation options. Whether you want a frontline brawler or a fire-support heavy, the Colossus Squad build kit has you covered.
Each figure is sculpted with deep, clearly defined detail that holds washes and drybrushing exceptionally well. Riveted armour plates, chains, patchwork repairs, and oversized shoulder guards all read clearly at arm's length on the tabletop. These models are designed for serious hobbyists who want a squad that looks menacing before a single drop of paint has been applied.
Assembly requires superglue. Painting and basing materials are sold separately.
Painting Guide: Colossus Squad- Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm ScaleThis guide will help you get your Colossus Squad looking battle-ready with a grimdark, war-worn finish that suits their brutal aesthetic.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black spray primer to the fully assembled or sub-assembled models. Black primer deepens shadows naturally and suits the grimdark tone perfectly.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the armour plates with a dark, muted colour such as dark green, iron grey, or deep burgundy.
- Apply a second, slightly lighter highlight coat to raised edges using a medium brush or drybrushing technique.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out rivets, buckles, and armour trim in a dark metallic such as gunmetal or brass.
- Use a fine detail brush to add spot colour to pouches, straps, and cloth sections in earthy browns or blacks.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat all firearms and bladed weapons in a dark iron metallic, then wash with a dark brown or black shade.
- Edge highlight blade surfaces with a lighter silver to give a sharp, worn-metal effect.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark wash such as Agrax Earthshade or equivalent across all armour to settle into the recesses and add visual depth.
- Use a sponge or stippling brush to add chipping effects in dark brown over the armour panels for a battle-worn look.
6. Bases
- Texture paste, rubble, or slate fragments work well for an industrial or wasteland base style that complements the squad's brutal character.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
