The Chained Bloodbearers are a squad of five ferocious resin wargaming miniatures, each sculpted with exceptional detail and dripping with grimdark menace. Standing 32mm from feet to eyes, these warriors arrive as physical, pre-printed resin figures with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly and painting. Their chains, bladed weapons, and spiked helms make them instantly recognisable on any battlefield.
This squad of five includes a mix of bulkier, heavily armoured brutes and leaner, faster-looking bladed fighters. The Chained Bloodbearers carry weapons ranging from chained axes and flails to paired short blades and combat knives, giving the unit a savage, close-combat character suited to elite shock troops or cult warriors. Each model is posed dynamically, conveying speed and aggression mid-charge. The detail on chains, partial armour plates, exposed musculature, and ornate helms rewards careful painting at every stage.
Each miniature is supplied unpainted and may require minor assembly with plastic-compatible super glue. Bases are included. Scale is 32mm from feet to eyes, consistent with standard wargaming scale. The squad is sculpted by DakkaDakka and cast in high-quality grey resin, capturing fine surface textures and sharp edges throughout.
Whether you are building a warband of bloodthirsty melee specialists, a cult retinue, or a squad of condemned warriors fighting for survival, the Chained Bloodbearers deliver character and presence on the tabletop. These models are equally suited for competitive wargaming and display painting.
Painting Guide: Chained Bloodbearers - Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniaturesThe following guide is designed to help hobbyists achieve a striking, battle-worn finish on this squad. The palette leans into dark metals, dried blood, and corroded iron to reinforce the grimdark aesthetic of the Chained Bloodbearers.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of black or dark grey spray primer across the entire model, ensuring all recesses are covered.
- Allow to cure fully before proceeding.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat armour plates with a dark iron or gunmetal grey, such as a dark steel or leadbelcher equivalent.
- Apply the base coat in thin layers to avoid obscuring sculpted detail on the armour edges and chest pieces.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out ornamental trim, helmet details, and studs with a warm brass or aged gold tone.
- Use a fine brush to apply a dark brown wash into all recesses, deepening shadows and tying the armour tones together.
4. Weapons
- Paint blade edges with a bright silver highlight, keeping the main blade surface a darker steel to suggest heavy use.
- For chains, drybrush lightly with a lighter metal tone over the dark basecoat, allowing recesses to remain dark for depth.
5. Weathering
- Apply a diluted rust-brown wash selectively to chain links, axe heads, and armour joints to suggest corrosion and age.
- Add small chips and scratches to armour plates using a sponge or fine brush loaded with dark brown and silver.
6. Bases
- Texture the base with gritty paste or fine sand, then basecoat in dark brown, drybrush with stone grey, and finish with a few tufts or rubble details to complete the wasteland look.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
