Forgotten Champions rise from the annals of myth and battle, and none loom larger than Carrus the Colosus. This towering resin miniature captures a hulking giant warlord clad in layered plate armour adorned with skull motifs, a crested war helmet, and a belt buckle carved into a snarling death mask. He stands atop a rubble-strewn base, axe raised and spear planted beside a battered round shield, radiating unstoppable menace across the tabletop.
Sculpted by Haito with breathtaking detail, Carrus the Colosus is a centrepiece model built for collectors and competitive players alike. Every surface tells a story of countless campaigns, from the cracked leather straps binding his pauldrons to the chains of skulls hanging from his waist. His rear profile reveals a sweeping war cloak draped over bestial shoulder guards, giving him a distinct silhouette that commands attention from every angle. The model stands approximately 75mm to the top of his crest, making him a dominant presence on any battlefield.
Inspired by the myth of titanic giant warlords, this single-figure release is a perfect addition to any grimdark warband or display cabinet. Whether you are fielding him as a monstrous hero, a mercenary colossus, or a boss encounter, his presence changes the dynamic of every game he enters.
Forgotten Champions miniatures are designed for resin printing and arrive ready to prime. Supplied unpainted and unassembled. Suitable for players aged 15 and over.
Painting Guide: Carrus the Colosus - GiantThis guide will help you bring this Forgotten Champions colossus to life with a battle-worn, grimdark finish worthy of his legend.
1. Prime
- Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and bone white from above to establish natural shading before a single brush stroke is applied.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat all plate armour with a dark iron grey, then drybrush with a cold steel tone to pick out edges and raised rivets.
- Wash the entire armour surface with a dark brown ink to settle into recesses and add instant depth.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out skull motifs, belt buckle, and chain details with tarnished bronze, shaded with a green-brown wash to suggest age and corrosion.
- Paint leather straps and pouches with a deep umber, highlighted with a mid-tan to give contrast against the metallic plate.
4. Weapons
- Paint the axe blade and spear tip with a scratched bare metal look, applying edge highlights in bright silver to suggest a razor-sharp, well-maintained weapon.
- Wrap handles and shaft in a worn leather brown, drybrushed lightly with cream to show heavy use.
5. Weathering
- Use a fine sponge to stipple chipping fluid or dark grey across armour edges, simulating battle damage consistent with a veteran giant warlord.
- Apply thin rust streaks from rivet points downward using diluted orange-brown paint and a fine liner brush.
6. Bases
- Drybrush the rocky rubble base with a light grey over a charcoal undercoat, then add static grass tufts and a gloss varnish to small stones for a wet battlefield effect.
