Forgotten Champions rise from the frozen wastes with Borg Huntmaster, a towering Human Barbarian resin miniature sculpted by Haito. This beast of a warrior dominates the battlefield with a massive crescent axe raised high, wrapped in furs and battle-worn armour that speaks of a lifetime of savage conquest.
Borg stands as a single-model kit, sculpted in extraordinary detail from his horned wolf-pelt cloak to the skull trophies hanging at his belt. His stone and rubble base adds dynamic height, with one boot planted atop fallen terrain as if claiming another kill. The rear view reveals an equally impressive fur mantle, layered and textured to reward careful brush work on every angle of the model.
This Forgotten Champions release is ideal for skirmish warbands, tabletop RPG campaigns, or as a centrepiece display model. Sculpted with scale detail consistent with 32mm heroic scale, Borg towers over standard infantry, making him an imposing presence on any gaming table. A single squad model, he is designed to lead from the front.
Supplied unpainted and unassembled. Resin model. Plastic base included. Suitable for ages 14 and over. Handle resin with care and wash before painting.
Painting Guide: Borg Huntmaster - Human BarbarianBringing Borg to life rewards painters who enjoy layering natural tones over raw, brutal textures. This Forgotten Champions centrepiece benefits from a warm underpainting and selective contrast to make his fur and scarred armour pop under gaming lights.
1. Prime
- Spray with a warm grey or bone-tone primer to preserve the sandy resin detail beneath
2. Armour Base
- Apply a mid-brown leather base across bracers, belt, and boot straps
- Block in dull iron or dark steel on the helmet and armour plates
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out rope bindings and trophies in ochre yellow with a light drybrush of off-white
- Paint the skull ornaments in pale bone, washing with a sepia or brown shade to define recesses
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the axe blade in dark iron, then edge highlight with bright silver along the cutting edge
- Apply a rust wash to the axe shaft bands and let it pool naturally in the rivets
5. Weathering
- Stipple chipped paint effects on the armour using a torn blister foam and dark brown paint
- Add dried blood streaks to the axe blade using a thinned dark red, drawn downward toward the edge
6. Bases
- Drybrush the rocky base in mid-grey then light grey, finish with a tufts of dead grass and a wash of agrax to tie the whole model to a frozen highland setting worthy of the Forgotten Champions range
