The Battle Speeder is a heavily armed anti-gravity assault vehicle designed for elite armoured operations across the most hostile war zones in the galaxy. This physical resin miniature arrives supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint. Bristling with weapons arrays, missile pods, and crew-served gun platforms, it depicts a compact yet devastatingly capable skimmer unit suited to fast-moving combined-arms warfare.
The model features an open-topped hull with two armoured crew figures visible at their stations, a rotating upper turret assembly mounted with multiple rocket pods, sponson-mounted cannons, forward autocannon arrays, and additional rocket fin details along the flanks. Surface detailing includes armour panelling, riveted plates, ventilation grilles, and equipment stowage, all rendered with crisp resin clarity. The miniature measures approximately 60-70mm across the hull at its widest point, making it a commanding centrepiece or a mid-line fire support unit on the tabletop.
Supplied as a physical resin kit with components ready for assembly with standard plastic glue or superglue. Minor cleanup may be required on contact points. Supplied unpainted. The Battle Speeder is compatible with 28-32mm scale sci-fi wargaming systems and fits naturally into grimdark future warfare settings.
Sculpted and produced by Atlan Forge, this vehicle miniature reflects the studio's commitment to high-detail, characterful sci-fi design for the serious hobbyist collector.
Painting Guide: Battle Speeder - Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniatureThe following guide offers a step-by-step approach to bringing your Battle Speeder to life on the painting table, from primer through to final basing.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black primer from a spray can or airbrush across all surfaces.
- Ensure coverage inside recesses around the crew figures and weapon mounts before proceeding.
2. Armour Base
- Apply a base coat of Mechanicus Standard Grey or Castellan Green for a utilitarian military finish.
- An off-white or bone base coat such as Rakarth Flesh suits a desert or arid theatre scheme.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out vents, panels, and equipment boxes with a darker shade such as Abaddon Black or Dark Reaper.
- Use Leadbelcher or Ironbreaker on exhaust ports, gun barrels, and mechanical joints.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat rocket pod warheads in Mephiston Red or Averland Sunset for a vivid armament contrast.
- Drybrush gun barrels and cannon shrouds with Stormhost Silver to suggest wear and heat scoring.
5. Weathering
- Apply a brown or black wash such as Agrax Earthshade or Nuln Oil across the entire hull to shade recesses.
- Use a sponge or stipple brush with Rhinox Hide to add battle damage chips along leading armour edges.
6. Bases
- Apply texture paste such as Astrogranite Debris or Armageddon Dust to the flight stand base for a ruined urban or wasteland feel, then drybrush with Administratum Grey or Ushabti Bone.
