The Ballad of the Street Cats Tech Girls are two specialists who keep the gang running when everything else is falling apart. Where the fighters push forward and the snipers wait in the shadows, these two work the angles that nobody else thinks about, one standing wide and levelling a heavy weapon with the easy confidence of someone who built it herself, the other crouched low over a piece of salvaged machinery, tools in hand, focused on the job with the kind of intensity that only comes from knowing exactly what happens if she gets it wrong.

Both figures are packed with underhive detail. Chunky armour panels, gear-laden backpacks, utility pouches and jury-rigged equipment sit alongside the sharp, purposeful poses that define this range. At roughly 28-32mm scale, the sculpts hold their detail cleanly across the armour surfaces and tool work, giving painters plenty to work into.

These two fit naturally alongside the rest of the Street Cats roster, sharing the same attitude and visual language as the gang leaders, heavy gunners and grenadiers they fight alongside. Sculpted by 42studio, they bring the same quality and character that makes this whole range such a strong foundation for a hobby project.

Each miniature arrives as a physical resin cast with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint.

Painting Guide: Ballad of the Street Cats Tech Girls

These two figures reward a methodical approach. The mix of armour, mechanical detail and clothing gives you room to build contrast and tell a story through colour choices.

1. Prime

  • Apply a grey or black primer to bring out the armour panels and tool details clearly before you begin.

2. Armour Base

  • Base coat the armour plates in a worn military tone such as a deep olive, dark grey, or muted blue-grey.
  • Keep the palette consistent with the rest of your gang for a cohesive look across the roster.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out rivets, cables and mechanical fittings in a dark metal tone, then drybrush lightly with a brighter silver.
  • Paint clothing and straps in a contrasting fabric tone, earthy browns or faded ochres work well against metal-heavy armour.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat the heavy weapon barrel in dark iron, then edge highlight with a cool silver to emphasise the chunky geometry.
  • Add worn spots along grip areas and barrel edges where paint would realistically chip and scratch.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a dark brown or black wash into recesses across the armour, tools and backpack equipment to build depth and grime.
  • Stipple or sponge chipping effects on armour panels to suggest a hard life in the underhive.

6. Bases

  • Match the bases to the rest of your gang using industrial textures, rusted metal tones and dark washes to tie the crew together visually.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
