The Asgardian Einherjar Commander is a towering sci-fi warrior clad in ornate power armour draped with the pelt of a great bear, its skull forming a fearsome pauldron above a bearded veteran face hardened by countless campaigns. This imposing figure stands approximately 40mm to the top of the bear-skull pelt and commands immediate presence on any battlefield. In one hand he raises a rune-etched axe, and in the other a heavy bolter-style weapon capable of laying down punishing suppressive fire. The base depicts a shattered rocky outcrop, elevating the commander above the carnage around him.

This set arrives as a physical multi-part resin miniature with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned. The kit includes two body variants, two head options including a bare-headed bearded warrior and a helmeted skull design, two right arm weapon variants, two shoulder pad options, the scenic rock base, and a standard round base. Also included is a separate cyborg wolf companion miniature on its own base, complete with mechanical augmetics across its muzzle. All parts are ready to assemble and paint straight from the package.

The Asgardian Einherjar Commander suits any grimdark sci-fi wargaming collection where a veteran warrior lord is needed at the front of a northern space wolf themed force. The level of sculpted detail across the fur cloak, chained armour panels, and runic weapon carvings rewards patient painters who enjoy bringing layered textures to life. The modular nature of the kit gives hobbyists real flexibility in posing and loadout.

Cast in high-detail grey resin, the fine surface texture captures every strand of bear fur, every rivet, and every rune with exceptional clarity. The cyborg wolf companion adds an extra narrative piece to the display or gaming base.

Painting Guide: Asgardian Einherjar Commander - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures

The following guide is written for intermediate painters looking to bring the cold, fierce aesthetic of this Asgardian Einherjar Commander to life with contrast, texture, and battle-worn grit.

1. Prime

  • Apply a grey or black spray primer to all parts before assembly where possible, ensuring full coverage in recesses of the fur cloak and armour joints.
  • Allow to cure fully before handling.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat armour plates in a cold steel grey such as Leadbelcher or equivalent, then apply a dark wash to all recesses to define panel lines.
  • Drybrush raised armour edges with a lighter silver to pick out battle damage and sharp detail.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint rune carvings and trim in a deep gold or aged bronze, washed with brown shade to give an ancient, weathered appearance.
  • Pick out skull motifs and chain links in bone or aged ivory, then shade lightly with a sepia wash.

4. Weapons

  • The rune axe benefits from a blackened metal basecoat highlighted upward to bright silver on blade edges, with glowing rune inscriptions picked out in electric blue or pale yellow for a supernatural effect.
  • The bolter weapon can be painted in gunmetal with a black wash and chipped silver highlights to read as heavy-use battlefield equipment.

5. Weathering

  • Apply chipping fluid techniques or sponge-stippled silver over armour surfaces to simulate field wear and cracked paint.
  • Add streaks of rust brown and dirt brown pigments to lower armour panels and boots to ground the miniature in the battlefield environment.

6. Bases

  • Drybrush the rocky outcrop base from dark grey through to off-white to give a frost-dusted stone appearance fitting the northern, tundra aesthetic of this faction.
  • Add a light scatter of snow powder or static grass to complete the scenic base and reinforce the frozen wasteland narrative.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
