The Arctodus Missile Vehicle is a heavily armed tracked war machine designed to dominate the battlefield with overwhelming firepower. Sculpted by Atlan Forge at 32mm scale, this resin miniature arrives supports already removed and ready to assemble and paint. Every surface is packed with gritty industrial detail: reinforced hull plating, exhaust vents, sensor clusters, and a towering dual or quad missile launcher array that dominates the silhouette from any angle.
Built for the grimdark future of tabletop wargaming, this vehicle suits any heavily mechanised ground force. The hull bristles with secondary weapon mounts, side armour panels covered in technical detail, and a pintle-mounted gun emplacement for close defence. Dual track assemblies give the chassis a low, brutal profile that reads as both utilitarian and menacing on the tabletop. The Arctodus Missile Vehicle is an ideal centrepiece or fire-support unit for any sci-fi army collection.
Supplied as a physical resin miniature. Assembly and painting required. Plastic cement is not suitable for resin. Use super glue and primer designed for resin surfaces for best results. Scale is 32mm and the model is compatible with most popular sci-fi tabletop rulesets.
Painting Guide: Arctodus Missile Vehicle - Atlan Forge, Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm ScaleThis guide will help you bring the Arctodus Missile Vehicle to life with a battle-worn, grimdark finish suitable for any sci-fi ground force.
1. Prime
- Clean the model with warm soapy water and allow to dry fully before priming.
- Apply a grey or black primer spray formulated for resin to ensure good adhesion across all surfaces.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the hull in a dark military tone such as a cold grey, olive drab, or deep iron.
- Apply a second lighter zenithal coat from above to establish early shading and highlight contrast.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out panel edges, sensor rings, and mechanical fittings in a warm metal such as gunmetal or bronze.
- Use a fine brush to dot lenses and targeting optics in red or green for a technical, functional look.
4. Weapons
- Paint missile warheads in a dark iron base followed by a silver drybrush to suggest machined metal tips.
- Highlight launcher box edges and barrel recesses with a lighter grey to separate them visually from the hull.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark brown or black wash into all recesses and panel lines to deepen shadows.
- Use a sponge or stipple brush to add chipping and corrosion in a mid-tone brown over the armour.
- Streak rust and oil stains downward from vents and joints using thinned brown and orange tones.
6. Bases
- Base the model on a scenic base using texture paste, sand, or rubble to complement the vehicle scale.
- Finish with tufts or dried foliage to ground the model in a specific warzone environment.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
