The Angelic Retaliators are a squad of five heavily armoured sci-fi warriors, each clad in ornate power armour bristling with devotional iconography, sacred scrollwork, and brutal firepower. Designed by Atlan Forge and scaled at 32mm, these physical resin miniatures arrive with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint. Whether you are building a strike force for skirmish play or expanding a larger grimdark collection, this squad delivers exceptional detail and commanding presence on the tabletop.

Each of the five figures carries a distinct loadout, from heavy ranged weapons with bulky magazine housings to ornate shoulder-mounted apparatus and layered tactical kit. Skulls, winged emblems, and angular geometric motifs cover the armour plates, reinforcing the elite warrior aesthetic. The squad leader variant features a crested helm with avian detailing that sets it apart as a field commander. These are grim, battle-hardened soldiers rendered with the depth and texture that serious hobbyists demand from a collector-grade resin miniature.

The Angelic Retaliators are cast in high-detail resin, capturing fine surface textures such as rivets, cabling, and layered armour segments that reward careful painting. All five models are supplied unpainted, giving you full creative control over your colour scheme. Bases are not included, allowing you to customise the groundwork to match your existing collection. Assembly glue is recommended for any multi-part connections.

Squad size: 5 miniatures. Scale: 32mm heroic. Material: high-detail resin. Supplied unpainted and unassembled where applicable.

Painting Guide: Angelic Retaliators - Atlan Forge, Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm Scale

The following guide will help you achieve a striking grimdark finish on your Angelic Retaliators, from base coat through to final weathering and basing effects.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer across all five models
  • Allow full cure time of at least two hours before painting
  • Check for any areas of missed coverage, especially around cabling and undersides of armour plates

2. Armour Base

  • For a classic look, base coat in pure white or bone using a mid-consistency brush-on paint applied in two thin coats
  • Alternatively, try a deep cobalt blue or dark gunmetal for a more menacing appearance
  • Build up coverage steadily to avoid obscuring the fine surface detail beneath

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out trim panels, rivets, and ornamental edging in gold or brass tones
  • Use a fine detail brush for the scroll work and winged skull emblems, applying a single highlight of pale gold or silver on raised edges

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat weapon bodies in dark iron or gunmetal
  • Drybrush lightly with a brighter silver to lift barrel rims, grip ridges, and magazine edges
  • Add a spot colour such as red or green to lenses, power cells, or indicator panels for visual interest

5. Weathering

  • Apply a brown or black wash over the entire model, working it into recesses to define shadows
  • Add subtle chipping effects to armour edges using a torn foam sponge and dark grey or brown paint
  • Streak vertical lines of thinned brown wash downward from rivets to suggest corrosion and campaign wear

6. Bases

  • Texture the base with fine sand, small rubble, or a ready-mix texture paste in ash or mud tones
  • Paint the groundwork in a grey or dark earth tone and drybrush with a lighter shade to pick out surface texture
  • Finish with static grass, tufts, or small scenic details to tie the squad together as a cohesive unit on the tabletop

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
