The Angelic Knight on Cybernetic Steed is a single, highly detailed 32mm scale resin miniature designed for grimdark sci-fi wargaming. Cast in high-quality resin and supplied with supports already removed, this imposing figure arrives ready to assemble and paint. The rider is clad in ornate power armour adorned with winged crests and gothic detailing, raising a broad two-handed blade aloft in a commanding charge pose. The mechanical steed beneath rears dramatically on its hind legs, its body a fusion of organic musculature and exposed cybernetic plating, corroded panels, and sculpted skull motifs that speak to a universe where faith and machine are inseparable.

Standing at 32mm heroic scale, the Angelic Knight cuts an imposing silhouette on the tabletop. Every surface rewards close attention: layered pauldrons, ribbed mechanical joints, draped parchment-like cloth, and a beautifully engraved oval base featuring flowing scroll and vine patterns. Whether you are building a force of crusading warriors or adding a centrepiece commander to your collection, this model delivers the presence and character of a true warlord figure. The sculpt is produced by Atlan Forge, known for bold, dynamic poses and fine surface detail that responds well to drybrushing and washes.

This physical resin miniature is supplied as a pre-cleaned casting. Minor assembly with hobby glue may be required for any separately cast components such as the sword arm. We recommend light sanding of contact points before gluing. As with all fine resin castings, a thorough rinse in clean water before priming will help paint adhere cleanly. The Angelic Knight is a single figure per listing.

Painting Guide: Angelic Knight - Cybernetic Steed - Atlan Forge, Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm Scale

The following guide is designed to help hobbyists achieve a battle-ready finish with clear highlights, and can be extended for display-level results with additional blending and glazing stages.

1. Prime

  • Spray or brush prime the assembled miniature in grey or black to preserve the deep shadow detail across the armour panels and mechanical plating.
  • A zenithal highlight with a pale grey or white spray from above will pre-shade the model and speed up later painting stages.

2. Armour Base

  • Apply a mid-tone bone or cream to the armour plates for a classic crusading warrior look, or deep midnight blue for a more austere, elite aesthetic.
  • Thin your base coat in two to three layers to avoid obscuring the fine panel line and rivet detail across the rider and steed.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out raised trim, aquila symbols, wing crests, and purity seals in a warm gold or brass tone to create visual contrast against darker armour.
  • Use a small detail brush for the scroll-work on the base, applying a light stone or aged parchment colour to make the engraving pop.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat the broad sword blade in a dark steel grey, then drybrush with silver from the centre outward to suggest a sharpened edge.
  • A thin glaze of blue or green over the blade's flat can suggest an energised power field without heavy freehand work.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a brown or black wash across all recesses on the mechanical steed to unify the cybernetic components and push shadows deep into the joints.
  • Add rust streaking on the exposed plating with a sponge or stipple brush using orange-brown over a dark basecoat for authentic battlefield decay.
  • Edge chip the armour of the Angelic Knight with a small piece of sponge dabbed in dark grey and silver to simulate combat damage.

6. Bases

  • Paint the decorative oval base in a stone or marble effect to complement the gothic detailing of the scroll and vine engraving already present in the sculpt.
  • Finish with a satin varnish on metallic areas and a matte varnish overall to protect the finished model during gaming.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
