Alpha & Hadar, Synchrosquad arrives as a four-model physical resin miniature kit, sculpted with an exceptional level of grimdark detail and ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box. Supports have already been removed and surfaces cleaned, so you can get straight to the hobby the moment it lands on your doorstep. Each model measures 78mm from top to bottom, making them imposing presences on any battlefield table.
This squad captures the relentless, forward-driven energy of a synchronised battlesuit unit operating at the edge of its combat envelope. The dynamic poses convey momentum and aggression, with each suit angling its weapons and limbs as though mid-engagement. Two elongated antenna-style emitters rise from the shoulder housings, giving the silhouette an unmistakable profile at range. Armour panelling flows across the torso and limbs in layered plates, broken up by venting grilles, circular energy nodes in gold, and recessed detail that rewards careful layering on the painting table. The kit comes in 30 parts across the four models, allowing a satisfying build session before a single drop of paint is applied.
Also included are two smaller turret-style drone companions, each seated on a triangular mounting platform. These pair naturally with the larger suits on the tabletop and add tactical variety to your force. Sculpted by DakkaDakka, the Alpha and Hadar Synchrosquad sits comfortably alongside other releases in the range in terms of scale, finish quality, and design ambition.
Models are supplied unpainted and require assembly. Plastic glue is not suitable for resin. Super glue or resin-specific adhesive is recommended.
Painting Guide: Alpha & Hadar, Synchrosquad - 78mm Resin MiniaturesThe colour scheme shown uses a bold red and bone white split, accented with gold energy nodes and dark metal joints. The guide below follows that approach but can be adapted freely to your own sept colours.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of grey or white spray primer across all parts before assembly if possible, to reach recessed areas.
- A grey primer works well as a midtone base for both the red and white armour panels.
2. Armour Base
- Block in the large armour plates with a deep, matte red. Apply two thin coats to build solid coverage without obscuring panel line detail.
- Paint the secondary armour sections in a warm off-white or light bone tone, keeping the edges slightly uneven to add character.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the recessed energy nodes and circular disc details with a flat gold or brass base colour.
- Add a bright yellow highlight to the top edges of each node to suggest an active power state.
- Paint all joint sections, pistons, and mechanical linkages in a dark metallic grey.
4. Weapons
- Base the weapon barrels and housings in dark gunmetal, then drybrush lightly with a brighter silver to bring up the raised edges.
- Add a glow effect around the barrel tips using thin glazes of orange fading to yellow at the centre.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark brown or black wash into all panel line recesses across the armour to add depth and shadow.
- Use a fine brush and a chipped silver to add small battle damage marks along the leading edges of armour panels.
- Sponge a thinned dark red randomly across the red armour to suggest scorching or paint wear.
6. Bases
- Drybrush the rocky rubble base in successive layers of dark grey, mid grey, and a final pale grey highlight.
- Seal the finished model with a matte varnish to protect the paint job and reduce shine across the armour surfaces.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
