The Airborne Witches Squad descends from the smoke-choked skies of a dying galaxy, blades humming and weapons primed for swift, surgical destruction. This set of physical resin miniatures brings a full squad of winged warrior elite to your tabletop, each figure sculpted with extraordinary grimdark detail including baroque armour plating, feathered and membranous wings, skull iconography, and an arsenal of ranged and melee weapons. Every miniature arrives with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint.

The squad includes one imposing hero-scale character with large daemon wings and a massive power weapon, alongside four smaller squad troopers each bearing their own distinct wing loadout, weapon configuration, and dynamic pose. The Airborne Witches Squad is scaled at 32mm, fitting seamlessly alongside standard sci-fi wargaming forces. Whether used as a fast-moving elite strike unit or a centrepiece warband, these figures reward careful painters and competitive gamers alike.

Sculpted with deeply recessed panel lines, layered pauldrons, and expressive dynamic poses, the Airborne Witches Squad rewards careful hobby work at every skill level. The hero model stands notably taller than the troopers, making her a natural warlord or champion piece on the battlefield. All models ship on round bases as shown.

Painting Guide: Airborne Witches Squad by DakkaDakka, Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm Scale

The following guide is designed to help hobbyists achieve a striking grimdark result on their squad using widely available hobby paints.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer to the assembled models.
  • Ensure all recesses and wing membranes are fully covered before proceeding.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the armour plates in a deep black or dark iron tone for a gothic feel.
  • Alternatively, use a rich burgundy or dark teal for a distinctive faction colour.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out armour trim and filigree in a dark gold or aged bronze.
  • Paint skull motifs and bone iconography in off-white, then shade with a brown wash.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat ranged weapons in gunmetal and drybrush with bright silver for edge highlights.
  • For power weapons, blend blue or purple tones towards white at the blade edges to suggest energy.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a dark oil wash or shade paint into all recesses to deepen panel lines.
  • Use a sponge and dark grey to stipple battle damage onto armour surfaces.

6. Bases

  • Texture paste in ash grey or urban rubble suits the grimdark aesthetic well.
  • Finish with a light drybrush of pale grey and a few tufts of dead grass or scorched earth flock.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
