Agentess Vritra Draco arrives as a single-model physical resin miniature, sculpted with an exceptional level of grimdark detail and ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box. Supports have already been removed and surfaces cleaned, so you can get straight to the hobby the moment it lands on your doorstep. The model measures 32mm from feet to eyes.
This figure cuts an imposing silhouette: clad in layered power armour with gold trim, a flowing lavender cloak billowing at her back, and one gauntleted fist raised high bearing a long ceremonial lance. A crouching gargoyle familiar perches atop the lance's crown, wings half-spread and teeth bared, marking her as something far more than a common operative. Beneath her boot lies a crushed mechanical skull, a quiet statement of authority made permanent in resin. The sculpt rewards careful brushwork at every level, from the broad sweeping folds of the cloak to the tiny inlaid gem-stones set across her chest and belt, each one a reward for a steady hand and a fine brush.
Designed by DakkaDakka, Agentess Vritra Draco suits collectors building a warband of elite agents, rogue traders, or shadowy inquisitorial retinues in any grimdark tabletop setting. She works equally well as a centrepiece character or as a commanding leader model among a larger force.
Supplied unpainted on a 32mm round base, ready to assemble and paint. Paints, glue, and tools are sold separately.
Painting Guide: Agentess Vritra DracoThe colour scheme shown pairs cold grey armour with warm gold trim and a soft lavender cloak, creating a regal but menacing palette. The guide below follows that reference closely.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or white zenithal prime to establish natural light and shadow across the armour plates and cloak folds before laying down any colour.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat armour panels in a mid-tone grey such as Mechanicus Standard Grey or equivalent, then layer up with lighter greys toward raised edges.
- Shade recesses with a dark blue-grey wash to push depth into the panel lines and joint gaps.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint gold trim with a dark brown base, build up through a mid-gold, and finish edge highlights with a bright gold or pale brass.
- Pick out gem-stones and lens details in deep red, highlight with a small spot of pale pink or white for a glassy effect.
4. Weapons
- Paint the lance shaft in dark steel, dry-brush lightly with bright silver toward the tip, and add subtle rust streaks if a worn look is preferred.
- Basecoat the gargoyle familiar in a muted violet-grey, shade heavily, then highlight raised muscles and wing membranes back up with a lighter lilac.
5. Weathering
- Stipple chipping fluid or sponge a dark brown at armour edges to suggest battle wear, keeping it subtle on the cloak and heavier on the greaves and boots.
- Apply a thin oil wash overall and wipe back with a clean brush to unify tones and settle any transitions.
6. Bases
- Texture the 32mm base with fine rubble paste or cork fragments, prime dark, drybrush stone tones, and add spot colour with a single small object such as a glowing green eye on the crushed skull underfoot.
