The Aegyptus Arcane Master is a towering, highly detailed resin miniature produced by Atlan Forge, designed for collectors and wargamers who demand exceptional quality in their sci-fi grimdark forces. Standing at approximately 54mm to the top of the helmet with additional height from ornate shoulder torches and a ceremonial raised weapon, this imposing figure cuts an unmistakable silhouette on the battlefield. Every surface is packed with intricate detail including layered plate armour engraved with ancient glyphs, a broad flowing cape, twin skull-tipped pauldron horns, and a dramatic circular dais base ringed with carved reliefs and blade projections.
This physical resin miniature arrives with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned and sanded where needed. It is ready to assemble and paint straight from the packaging. The model is cast in high-quality grey resin that captures fine surface textures and sharp edges throughout, from the feathered chest motif to the ornate haft of the staff weapon and the mechanical pistol raised in the opposite hand.
The Aegyptus Arcane Master is a single character figure, ideal as a warlord, sorcerer, or elite commander within any sci-fi or grimdark wargaming force. The sculpt references ancient desert-empire aesthetics fused with far-future power armour, creating a visually compelling centrepiece unit that will draw attention on any gaming table or display shelf.
Supplied as a physical resin miniature. Assembly and painting required. Paints, glue, and tools sold separately.
Painting Guide: Aegyptus Arcane Master - Atlan Forge, Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniaturesThe following guide is designed to help hobbyists achieve a striking, atmospheric finish that honours the ancient-yet-advanced character of this sculpt. Whether you prefer rich ceremonial gold schemes or bleached desert palettes, the Aegyptus Arcane Master rewards careful layering and controlled contrast work.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black spray primer in thin, even coats to preserve surface detail across the armour plates, cape, and base.
- Allow to fully cure before proceeding to base coats.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the main armour panels in a deep midnight blue or rich obsidian black for a grimdark look.
- Alternatively, use bleached bone or pale ivory for a desert-sun aesthetic that contrasts well with gold trim.
3. Trim and Details
- Apply a rich gold or burnished bronze to all trim lines, glyphs, the chest feather motif, and pauldron horns.
- Shade with a dark brown or sepia wash to settle into recesses and create depth across engraved surfaces.
4. Weapons
- Paint the staff haft in a dark metal such as gunmetal or dark steel, then highlight with silver dry-brushing on raised edges.
- For the pistol, use the same metal tones and add a spot colour such as teal or orange on any energy lens details.
5. Weathering
- Apply subtle chipping effects with a sponge and dark brown paint across armour edges to suggest battle wear.
- Use a thin black oil wash across the base reliefs and lower armour to ground the model in a sense of age and history.
6. Bases
- Drybrush the circular dais in light stone or sandy tan to suggest ancient carved rock, then pick out blade projections in dark metal.
- Add a spot of OSL glow in amber or pale yellow beneath the torch flames to suggest firelight casting across the base surface.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
