The 2nd Death Division Mortar Tea set delivers a brutal and characterful heavy weapons crew straight to your tabletop, ready to defend the line at any cost. This physical resin miniature set depicts two heavily armoured troopers operating a squat, industrialised mortar emplacement, positioned behind a fortified sandbag wall with a stack of supply crates nearby. Each soldier wears a full gas mask, spiked helmet, long coat, and layered armour plating, evoking a grimdark aesthetic that fits perfectly into dystopian sci-fi wargaming settings. The set stands approximately 30mm from feet to eyes as noted on the product reference.
The 2nd Death Division Mortar Tea crew arrives as pre-printed physical resin miniatures with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned. One trooper cradles a mortar shell ready to load, while the other operates or aims the weapon. Together they form a complete, narrative-rich diorama piece that integrates naturally into trench warfare or siege-line scenarios on the battlefield. The sandbag base adds instant visual weight and tactical atmosphere to any deployment.
Squad size: 2 crew miniatures plus mortar emplacement, sandbag base, and crate accessories. All components arrive ready to assemble and paint.
Whether you field the 2nd Death Division Mortar Tea as part of a larger infantry force or as a standalone artillery unit, this set rewards careful painting and brings real presence to your collection. Ideal for collectors, competitive players, and narrative campaign enthusiasts alike.
Painting Guide: 2nd Death Division Mortar Tea - Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniaturesThis guide will help you bring your crew to life with a grimdark, battle-worn finish that suits the oppressive aesthetic of the sculpt.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black spray primer evenly across all components before beginning any basecoat work.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat all armour plates with a dark grey or cold steel tone such as Mechanicus Standard Grey or equivalent.
- Apply a second thin coat to build opacity before moving to shading.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out buckles, belt pouches, and coat buttons with a dark brass or aged bronze tone.
- Paint the gas mask lenses with a deep red or amber to add a menacing focal point.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the mortar barrel and mortar shell with gunmetal or dark iron, leaving recesses slightly darker.
- Add a thin edge highlight of silver to raised rims and muzzle edges to suggest worn metal.
5. Weathering
- Apply a brown or black wash across all surfaces to deepen recesses and add battlefield grime.
- Drybrush lightly with a pale silver or bone colour on armour edges to simulate chipping and wear.
6. Bases
- Paint sandbags in a tan or khaki tone, wash with brown, and drybrush with a lighter sand colour. Paint crates in dark wood tones with metal corner banding in bronze or iron.
