Agent-Hunter Orazkhan Is Now In The Shop

There are sculpts you add to the shop because they fit neatly into a category, and then there are sculpts you add because you genuinely cannot stop looking at them. Orazkhan is firmly the second kind. He landed in my feed a few weeks ago and I just kept coming back to the image, picking out new details each time: the long-barrelled hunting rifle raised skyward, the vivid teal plume trailing from his braided hair, those red-lensed goggles that immediately tell you exactly what kind of wasteland he calls home. He has a real personality baked into the pose, which is something I find genuinely rare in bounty hunter-type sculpts.

The mount is what elevates this from interesting to genuinely special, though. A hulking multi-headed beast, armoured with crude iron fittings and heavy leather straps, absolutely packed with texture and surface interest. Every head is its own problem to solve when you eventually sit down to paint it, and the combination of that organic grotesquerie with the rough industrial hardware draped across it gives the whole piece a grimdark quality that feels earned rather than bolted on. It sits at 65mm, so he has real presence on the table or shelf without being unwieldy.

In terms of who this suits: any painter who enjoys working on grimdark or sci-fantasy pieces will find a lot to love here. The sculpt rewards careful work with washes and glazes across all that beast texture, and the rider himself has some lovely sharp detail that would pop beautifully under a zenithal prime before you start laying in colour. There is real potential for OSL around those red goggles too, which I am already quietly planning in the back of my head. Experienced painters will find plenty of complexity to get into, but the strong underlying forms mean it reads clearly even with a solid tabletop standard finish, so it is approachable for painters who are still building their skills with larger, more involved sculpts.

As with everything in the shop, Orazkhan arrives as a finished physical resin miniature, printed in clean grey resin with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned up. He just needs a quick assemble and then he is ready for primer. No faff, straight to the fun part.

Honestly I cannot wait to get one in my own queue. I have a fairly specific colour palette forming in my head already, leaning into dusty ochres and worn leather for the mount with something more deliberate and vivid for the rider's kit, but that is a blog post for another day when he is actually on my desk. For now, he is available in the shop and I suspect he will not hang around. You can grab him here: Agent-Hunter Orazkhan, £14.99.
