The Chapelnoire Set is a collection of ten finely detailed physical resin miniatures, scaled at 32mm, depicting a cast of gothic horror characters drawn from the darkest corners of fantasy lore. Each figure arrives already printed, supports removed, and cleaned, ready for assembly where needed and painting straight out of the box. The set includes investigators, cursed undead, supernatural predators, and eldritch beings, making it an ideal ensemble for horror-themed tabletop campaigns or display collections.
Among the standout pieces are a towering antlered creature with elongated claws and flowing organic drapery, and a gaunt vampire lord rendered in a classic Nosferatu style, his clawed hands raised and his bare taloned feet gripping the sculpted base. The remaining figures include a ghostly female spirit carrying a candle, a cloaked skull-faced revenant with a blade, a pirate-style female duelist, a bearded gentleman investigator, a top-hatted occultist with a lantern, a Victorian lady in a full gown holding a candlestick, and a frontier gunslinger in a wide-brimmed hat. Every miniature is mounted on a detailed round base decorated with cobblestones or skulls. The Chapelnoire Set brings together a full ensemble that rewards painters of all skill levels.
These miniatures are cast in high-quality grey resin with sharp surface detail throughout. Fine textures such as skin folds, fabric weave, bone structure, and facial expressions are all cleanly rendered. A light wash and dry-brush will bring out all that surface detail quickly, while advanced painters will find plenty of depth to reward layering and freehand work. At 32mm scale, the figures are compatible with most popular skirmish and roleplaying game systems.
Painting Guide: Chapelnoire Set - Fantasy RPG Miniatures, 32mm ScaleThe following guide covers the full Chapelnoire Set, offering colour direction for the monster figures and human investigators alike. All paints referenced are examples and can be substituted with equivalent ranges.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer to all figures
- Allow full cure time before handling to avoid fingerprint impressions on fine surface detail
2. Armour Base
- For the vampire lord, base coat the coat and cloak with a deep burgundy or charcoal grey
- For the antlered creature, use a pale bone or bark brown across the body and limbs
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out buttons, collars, and cuffs on the human figures with off-white or aged ivory
- Shade all fabric areas with a thin brown or black wash to define folds
4. Weapons
- Paint pistols and blades with a dark steel base coat, then highlight with silver on raised edges
- The lantern can be painted with a warm amber glaze over a white base to suggest candlelight
5. Weathering
- Apply a stippled rust or dirt effect to metal surfaces using a torn blister pack sponge
- Add subtle OSL (object source lighting) glow from candles and lanterns using thinned yellow-orange paint
6. Bases
- Drybrush cobblestone bases with light grey over a dark undercoat
- Paint skulls with bone, shade with sepia wash, and highlight with white on the highest points
